for all those would-be-bidders who are wishing they had a chance to bid on my bum, never fear!
the merchandise was never sold, due to all that getting kicked off of ebay nonsense.
i do plan on auctioning again, the next time i fundraise for a marathon. so keep checking back - a likely date would be this fall, but i'll keep you posted!
we're on hold folks! i've been removed from e-bay because i didn't have a letter getting permission from the lls, so, i hopefully will be getting said letter, and then we'll be back in business.
*All proceeds go to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society*
I am auctioning off the chance for one lucky man or woman to get his/her name tattooed on my derrière.
The money is not for me - you’ll be doing something good for the world. The money is going to a very important charity – The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS)
Last year a good friend of mind died after fighting Hodgkin’s for over 4 years. I wanted to raise some money for the LLS and so in August, I did something crazy and signed up to run the Arizona marathon, which is TOMORROW. I was not a runner, and it’s been a long five months – you can read about it at http://girlyoubetterrun.blogspot.com
I’m trying to raise as much money as possible - hence actioning-off my very first tattoo to the highest bidder. I've already raised over $10,000, but I want more.
Yes, there are rules. Yes, I will consider corporate sponsorship. No, you do not get to watch, but you will get proof in the form of a photo or two. Here are the rules: 1. Right cheek 2. I pick the spot, the ink and the font 3. The tattoo will be no larger than 2 inches long and 1.5 inches tall (and that's a maximum!) 4. It must be your first name (and I will be checking ID), and
You could also donate your tattoo in memory of my friend who I’m doing this all for and his nickname “Bouv” will be the tattoo. I will also consider corporate logos, depending on the company, but reserve the right to veto.
5. By the popular request of those who would like to protect my, um, asset, there are TWO ways it can be saved: a) the winner can also choose to simply make a straight donation, and forget all this tattoo nonsense. (My mother would be eternally grateful.) b) IF I have raised $20,000* by January 31, 2007 (the cut off for fundraising) the space will no longer be for sale.
6. I will pay for the tattoo. Your bid will cover the e-bay fees.
7. The winner of the auction will receive a decent quality photo of the merchandise once the ink is dry (so to speak).
8. I reserve the right to revisit and add to these rules, and will post any changes here as necessary. Remember, it’s for a good cause, so spread the word! The more bids the better!!
